Interconnect and Control Challenges in Silicon Spin Qubit Quantum Computers

Scaling a fault-tolerant quantum computer to millions of qubits required for running a practical algorithm is a daunting challenge. Silicon spin qubits are a promising technology for the scalable implementation of quantum computers thanks to their transistor-like footprint and compatibility with industrial silicon manufacturing. However, interconnect and controls can quickly become a bottleneck for system scaling. This talk gives an overview of silicon spin qubit technology for quantum computers, highlighting the requirements and challenges for interconnect and control. Some potential solutions to address these challenges are also discussed.
