Development of Batteryless IoT Sensors using SWIPT Technologies

This talk will explore innovative approaches for building battery-less sensors by leveraging wireless power transfer (WPT) and integrating communication technologies, creating SWIPT solutions. We will examine the use of backscatter communication, harmonic tags, and other emerging alternatives for enabling energy-efficient data transmission. By eliminating the need for batteries, these sensor systems can achieve long-term, sustainable operation in various applications, from IoT networks to remote monitoring. The discussion covers the technical challenges, potential solutions, and the integration of WPT with communication techniques, providing insights into the future of low-power, self-sustaining sensor networks. Several experimental and prototype validations will be showed at the end of the talk.
