5G FR2 UE Phased Array Transceiver Solution Using 28nm CMOS FD-SOI
The 5G NR has expanded its frequency spectrum to the mm-wave range (FR2), which is being commercialized by the cellular carriers across the globe. To adopt 5G FR2 in mobile devices, it requires a low power, low cost, and small form factor transceiver solution to meet the 3GPP and carrier certification standard. This talk will present the recent development of 5G FR2 phased-array transceivers in 28nm CMOS FD-SOI process to meet the stringent requirements of User Equipment (UE). The system consideration, transceiver architecture, and circuit examples will be discussed.
