Development of High-Power Vacuum Electron Devices for Radar
The past several decades have seen continuous development and steady improvement in the operational capabilities of vacuum electron devices (VEDs) for radar applications. Recent progress and advances in high-power VEDs, including klystrons, coupled-cavity TWTs, and gyrotrons, will be described. In particular, high-power and high-frequency sources for mm-wave space radar will be highlighted.
