High-Performance and Low-Power mm-Wave Radar Systems: Requirements and Challenges

mm-Wave Radar sensing is witnessing a rapid growth across automotive, industrial and consumer marketspaces. On one end of the spectrum, the move towards higher levels of autonomy and safety in automotive driver assistance systems and in-cabin applications is placing stringent demands on the performance of MMICs and sensors developed to address this space. On the opposite end, emerging applications in consumer space require highly integrated, low-power solutions with a completely different set of requirements. This talk will present an overview of key circuit and system level challenges and innovations in addressing such a diverse range of requirements and applications.
