Investigation of Beyond-5G/6G Wireless Communication Systems Using All-Digital Radio-Over-Fiber Testbeds

This presentation will demonstrate how recent advances in high-speed optical data interconnect technologies can be utilized to build flexible testbeds where the performance, limitations and feasibility of emerging distributed/cell-free MIMO communication paradigms can be investigated and evaluated against theoretical predictions. Using this all-digital radio-over-fiber technology a variety of sub-6GHz and mm-wave testbed implementations will be showcased to demonstrate its capabilities in a variety of single- and multi-user scenarios.
