The Role of RF Technology in MR Imaging (MRI) Systems

The generic Magnetic Resonance system architecture is presented. In particular, the presentation will cover the RF, Digital and Magnetic subsystems, including current and next-gen medical applications in imaging, functional-MRI and MR spectroscopy. For the RF chain, all the important links will be discussed, from the RF Synthesizer/Pulse Modulator to the very important RF high-power amplifier, TR switches, RF coils and LNAs.
