Scaled SBSP Demonstration Mission and Wireless Power Transfer for Space Applications

The realisation of GW-scale Space Based Solar Power for the provision of limitless clean energy to Earth through wireless power transfer, requires large-scale transportation of materials to Earth orbit and sophisticated robotic systems for in-orbit construction of km-scale infrastructure. In this talk, we present an innovative mission concept, as a fundamental SBSP technology demonstration which can be implemented cheaper, easier and in a short time. We will also discuss the use of wireless power transfer for space applications in support of commercial LEO-ecosystem and for future lunar exploration.
