A 2.4 GHz 369-μW Low-Latency WuRX with Voltage-to-Frequency Digital Demodulation and Bit-Error Correction
This paper presents a 2.4GHz wake-up receiver (WuRX) featuring low wake-up latency, high energy efficiency, and bit-error-correction capability. The design employs a novel voltage-to-frequency conversion high-energy-efficiency digital demodulation architecture and integrates a digital correlator with bit-error correction capability to enhance communication security. Fabricated in 40nm CMOS technology, the WuRX prototype achieves a wake-up latency of 19.6μs and an energy efficiency of 590pJ/b at a data rate of 625kbps, with a sensitivity of -67.6dBm and a power consumption of 369μW.
